On the construction of a rational Fejér rule

Abstract

We present a method to construct a rational generalization of Fej\'er's quadrature rule. Compared to similar existing rules, our rule has the advantage that the nodes are the zeros of a Chebyshev orthogonal rational function, which leads to smaller weights and a more stable quadrature rule.
