Sensitivity analysis of mathematical models for bacterial growth

Abstract

We briefly review some new models for bacterial growth under constant environmental conditions. These models are described by a system of ODEs or DDEs parameterized by four parameters. For the growth of E. coli K12, optimal values for the parameters have been determined using experimental data. In this report, we study the sensitivity of these models, by analysing both the sensitivity of the solution with respect to the parameters and the sensitivity of the parameters with respect to the experimental data, using a procedure introduced by Baker and Rihan.
